05-03-2010 : National Conference on Information Science and Security was inaugurated today by our Chairman .Dr.Jeppiaar. The Chief guests for the day were Mr. R. Ramamurthy ,Chairman Cyber Society of India and Commodore (Retd) S Shekhar , Indian Navy. More than 150 delegates attended this national level conference. Pratiyog 2010 , our two day national level technical symposium was also inaugurated by the distinguished chief guests.Around 80 colleges have sent their students to participate in this event and on the whole 6 of our departments had the combined participant strength of more than 1250 students , on day one.The Valedictory function was graced by Mr.AjayReddy, Features Editor The New Indian Express who distributed the cash prize and certificates to the winners of today’ events.

24-02-2010 : Our Basketball (Men) team have won the TIES 2010 championship beating St.Joseph's College of Engineering , Chennai 64-60.
16-2-10: Triple Triumph : After winning the Hindustan College tournament and the Carmel Trophy , our Basketball (women) team have won the TIES-2010 championship defeating St.Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai 59-33 in the final held at PSNA College near Dindigul.
16-2-10: Our Basketball(Men) team defeated Thiruvanathapuram's Mar Ivanios College 76-62 and retained the All India intercollegiate basketball tournament tittle , conducted in Aluva.
15-2-10 : Our Basketball (women) team won the the 5th Nest Carmel Trophy All India Inter Colle- giate Basketball Tournament women’s title at the Carmel floodlit basketball stadium , Aluva.The winners defeated S N Trust Kollam 61-49 after leading 35-30 at half time.

11-Oct-09: Our Basketball ( Men & Women) teams have won the State level inter collegiate basketball tournament organised by Vel's Srinivasa College of Engineering & Tech, Thalambur, Chennai.The Men team defeated Sathyabama Univeristy ( 71-56) while the women team overcame MOP Vaishnav ( 36-30 ) in the finals.
09-Oct-09: Anna University Zone III Football winners - We defeated St.Joseph’s College of Engineering in the finals . The match got extended to the tie breaker session. The scores in the tie breaker : 4-3 in our favour.
