           Since the inception from 2001, the Department of Computer Science has a long record of academic excellence in the under-graduate course. The Department is accredited by NBA and certified with ISO 9001:2008. To meet the increasing technology requirements of Science and Society, the Department has started M.E in Computer Science and Engineering in the year 2012 by the approval of AICTE.

The Department with well qualified and experienced faculties’ emphasis not only subject knowledge but also the ability to think innovatively. The faculty of the Department is actively engaged in research in the areas of Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Data Mining, Cloud Computing, Image processing.

The Department laboratory is equipped with all requisite structure like D-Link certified Network lab with an excellent Internet facility of 10 MBPS Optical Fiber connectivity and state-of-art computing facilities. Our laboratory has licensed original software as per the needs of the curriculum.

To progress in the technical field, students are motivated through professional chapters like CSI and IEEE to take part in seminar, workshop, & conferences. Our Department library has more than 5000 volume of books; journals and adequate number of study material CD’s.

Computer Society of India (CSI):

CSI is one of the most famous society associated with the computer professionals. It was being introduced in the Jeppiaar engineering college in the year 2007 with the institutional membership, with 57 student members.However due to various advancement, today it had grown into an successful society with nearly 245 members. As active participants of this society we conduct monthly students meet where we discuss about the various advancements in technology. In the year 2010 during the month of march we organized the National conference on Information Science and Security in association with computer society of india which proved to be a great success.
