Civil Engineering

Certified by ISO 9001:2000 and National Board of Accreditation(NBA), AICTE-New Delhi.

Ever since it’s recent commencement in 2009, the Civil Engineering Department with its dynamic and adept faculty has provided an outstanding contribution to the discipline. Our unique approach of theoretical knowledge and practical application of skills make our students well prepared for their future careers.

Software packages like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Map 3D, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional and Autodesk 3ds Max design allows our students to expand their skills and provide an adequate platform to perform analysis, design and drawing for a wide range of civil engineering buildings and other heavy structures viz. Roads, bridges, flyovers, dams, canals, bunkers & silos, cooling towers, power plants etc.

In addition to the conventional survey equipments, our survey laboratory consists of 3 Electronic Total Stations (SOUTH Model NTS-662R) with graphical display, 32 Bit CPU, absolute encoding systems and with a distance measuring range of 4 Kms. These advanced survey equipments helps our students to observe measurements and acquire data necessary for civil engineering projects, maps, and other such projects requiring accurate data.

Our department has a well established library with advanced reference books and various professional standard codes for civil engineering viz. Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), National Building Codes, Indian Road Congress (IRC) for the benefit of the students as well as the faculty of civil engineering which strengthens our department to progress as a centre for learning and research.

Throughout the course, there will be considerable industrial input to the program through guest lectures by distinguished professionals from construction industry, site visits, seminars and design exercises.
